This Guide to Better Communication with CALD Communities provides you with tools to understand your language needs, so that you know exactly what to look for when sourcing language services.  This Guide has been developed by Polaron Language Services.

The Young People’s Exposure to War and Conflict in Media: A Guide for Schools and Community Members, by QPASTT, is primarily designed for teacher and community members who are caring for, or working with, children and young people who are survivors of refugee trauma, including intergenerational trauma. It looks at the impact of media coverage, trauma responses in children and young people, as well as tips for talking to them about war and conflict. 
The purpose of this guide is to provide information to Australian Mental Health services, practitioners, Primary Health Networks and other on what good practice looks like in working effectively with people from CALD backgrounds. It is intended to provide practical advice and guidance for mental health service providers.  This guide was developed by the Embrace Project and published in August 2020

NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARRTS) has updated its guidance document “Working with People from Refugee Backgrounds: A Guide for Social Workers (2022)”
This guide includes two principles for improving communications. It explains different ways to communicate, depending on your organisation’s capacity. It also includes examples of good practice multicultural communications. This guide focuses on multicultural communities, but its principles can help everyone.
