About Us

Embrace Multicultural Mental Health, the Embrace Project, contributes towards creating a mental health and suicide prevention service system that better meets the needs of people from multicultural backgrounds.

We support Australia’s mental health and suicide prevention services to assess and enhance their cultural responsiveness and inclusivity to better support, listen to and reflect the needs of culturally diverse communities.

We support people from multicultural backgrounds by providing culturally appropriate information to encourage help-seeking, address stigma and create space for safe and sustainable conversations about mental health and suicide prevention.

We are a part of Mental Health Australia – the mental health advocacy peak in Australia. We partner with Federation of Ethnic Communities Councils of Australia (FECCA), the National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA).

Our work is informed by a Lived Experience Group and Stakeholder Group.
