Who Guides Our Work

Mental Health Australia
The Embrace Project is a part of Mental Health Australia – the National peak body for the mental health sector. Mental Health Australia unites the mental health sector to present a cohesive voice to government, and provide practical policy solutions to influence decision-making, which in turn, improves the mental health system and the mental health of people in Australia.
Alliance Partners
We work closely with our Alliance Partners to deliver the Embrace Project:
Federation of Ethnic Communities Council of Australia
The Federation of Ethnic Communities Council of Australia (FECCA) is the peak body representing Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. FECCA's role is to advocate, lobby and promote issues to government, business and the broader community.
National Ethnic Disability Alliance
The National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA) is a national Disabled People's Organisation that advocates for the human rights of people with disability and their families, culturally and linguistically diverse people and people from non-English speaking backgrounds.

Lived Experience Group
Our Lived Experience Group is made up of people from every state and territory with diverse backgrounds and strong connections to community. Members have lived experience as carers or consumers of mental health services and have strong connections to diverse communities. We meet with the Lived Experience Group regularly, to ensure that voices of multicultural communities guide and inform our work.

Stakeholder Group
Our national Stakeholder Group is made up of experts from multicultural health, primary care, mental health and suicide prevention. We work closely with our Stakeholder Group, whose knowledge and expertise helps shape our work.
Department of Health and Aged Care
The Embrace Project is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care.
